Singing Bowl Gift Set

Tibetan Buddhists are renowned for their in-depth knowledge of sound and its effect on consciousness. As these bowls are individually spun and hammered from bell metal, mantras (sacred chants) are recited. Vibrations from the mantras are absorbed in the metal and released when the bowl is played. An enchanting harmonic hum is produced by slowly dragging the wooden dowel along the outside rim of the bowl. This hand hammered bowl measures approximately five inches in diameter and comes complete with wooden striker, resting cushion, and is placed lovingly within a handmade paper storage box.
