Nepali Madal Drum - Large

The madal is a double-headed Nepali drum made of hand-carved wood and water buffalo hide. This popular Nepalese percussion instrument is often used in processions, such as the parading of deities through the streets, and on religious holidays. At 16 inches tall, it has a strap for wearing over the head, leaving both hands free to strike the two ends of the drum.
